Taqueria Nacional success!

Kudos to our client Taqueria Nacional on the success of their new location 1409 T Street, NW- make it a must visit on your next trip to the 14th Street corridor. Enjoy the beautiful fountain out front too for some casual alfresco dining!

http://www.taquerianational.com
Info from their website: James Beard award winning chef Ann Cashion and business partner John Fulchino, relocated Taqueria Nacional to the vibrant Greater 14th Street neighborhood in May 2013. Opened in 2007 on Capitol Hill behind their restaurant, Johnnny’s Half Shell, the Taqueria is now uniquely framed in a historically significant former United States post office. The Taqueria’s new home seats 45 guests inside, and is complemented by intimate yet informal garden seating.

Love for Wildwood Kitchen in Bethesda

We are excited by the buzz around Wildwood Kitchen- we knew it was a special project from the start. Working with Chef Robert Wiedmaier and his team was a great experience.

RCI was proud to be selected as the Food Service Designers and Architectural team for the project. Hapstack Demitrious+ was the creator of the beautiful Interior Design and the construction build out was done by Tech24.

If you haven't been yet- it is time for a visit to this casual Mediterranean gem.  Wildwood Kitchen, 10223 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda; (301) 571-1700; wildwoodkitchenRW.com

Busy Week of projects and kudos!

It is only Wednesday and even with the Labor Day holiday on Monday, we are full steam ahead!
Yesterday at DCRA, we got the Interior Building permit issued for Taceria Nacionale that will be  coming soon to T Street, NW.

We also are working on permits for the beautiful St. Regis hotel lobby renovation, a variety of Noodles & Company locations as well as a new project for newly appointed State department Chef Ambassador Mike Isabella.

Kudos to Chef Geoff on the imminent opening of Chef Geoff Rockville! It is a great space on Rockville Pike, near the intersection of Boa Ave, and was built out by our friends at Potomac Construction. We can't wait to dine there!

Bolt Burgers are coming to DC

Bolt Burgers Are Coming to DC

The nation’s capital area will soon be home to a brand new concept in the all-American classic. Bolt Burgers is narrowing the search for a suitable high traffic site for their first fast casual restaurant, where they will serve burgers and fries that deliver unique, high impact flavors to satisfy Washington’s sophisticated palates.

Bolt is the brainchild of a consortium of area eye doctors, led by Michael Davidson, O.D., himself an experienced retail entrepreneur. The consortium joined forces with Restaurant Consultants, Inc., led by Joe Spinelli, a veteran with over 40 years in the Washington, DC restaurant business. After conducting a thorough review of fast casual restaurant concepts, the team realized the “better burger” market represented a great opportunity. While the “better burger” restaurant category has been growing rapidly, Americans’ appetite for better burgers is still spiraling upward. Challenging the status quo, they chose to cross the better burger with another powerful food trend: high impact flavors.

Bolt Burgers is where sophisticated burger lovers will be able to kick back and enjoy flavors they can’t get at any other fast casual burger restaurant—big, satisfying flavors beyond what you expect from a burger, fries and soft drink. No stranger to fast casual restaurant concepts, the team realized the better burger market represented a great opportunity. The antithesis of quick serve burger joints, it’s an experience worth savoring, from the hand formed patty of Bolt’s exclusive, extra juicy blend of Certified Angus Beef, to the toasted brioche bun, to the layers of flavor piled in between, including:
Spice Rubs, such as Toasted Peppercorn and Herb & Fiery Chili, Cumin and Paprika
Artisanal Cheeses, such as Local Virginia Goat Cheese, Truffle Pecorino and Smoked Gouda cheeses
Exclusive Sauces, such as Tomato and Sweet Basil, and Habanero, Cilantro & Lime Mayo
Homemade Relishes, such as Black Bean, Corn and Vidalia Onion, and Crunchy Asian Slaw
For those who hunger for something other than beef, Bolt will also offer:
   Turkey Burgers
   Marinated Chicken Breasts
   Vegetarian Black Bean Burgers
Gourmet Grilled Cheese sandwiches made with Bolt’s artisanal cheeses.

While Bolt’s operations have been designed for maximum efficiency, utilizing the latest food service technology, diners will feel right at home. It’s a friendly place designed to please affluent diners who want more than a quick serve burger joint, don’t want the hassle of a traditional sit down restaurant, and have a taste for something more satisfying than just another bacon cheeseburger. An open kitchen, beer and wine service and smoothie bar serving original concoctions, like smoothie mimosas, encourage diners to sit a while and enjoy more of what Bolt has to offer in its 2800 Square Foot units.

After opening of the first store and operational success, Bolt plans to open 2-3 additional stores in similarly positioned demographic areas of Washington, DC.
